DANA MORRIS
Dana Morris

Dana Morris is currently a PhD Candidate at the Graduate School of International Studies, University of Denver with concentrations in Finance and China Studies. She is Jamaica’s Fulbright Scholar for 2004, and a two-time graduate of the University of the West Indies, Mona, graduating with BSc. Economics and International Relations (First Class Honors) in 2001, and MSc. Government (Distinction) in 2003. Her current research interests include, inter alia, Jamaican economic development, International financial liberalization, and China-Caribbean relations.

Why I Joined the Project

After pursuing two degrees at UWI, Mona, I felt that there really did not exist a detailed analysis of many issues pertaining to the development of the Jamaican economy and Jamaica’s place in the international system. This project aims to answer many of my lingering questions and other important questions that have remained outside of the purview of traditional analyses of Jamaica’s performance since Independence.
